Metallic Ink is a form of high-end metallic printing. This finishing adds a beautiful semi-reflective sheen and is available in gold, bronze or silver. All available Metallic inks can be used on any of our premium or luxury paper stocks and can be layered under foil stamping or thermography. The gold and silver metallic inks can also be used on our metal and ultra thick plastic stocks. The benefit of metallic ink is that since it is printed, and not stamped, it can accurately replicate more detail than foil stamping. Metallic ink is also not as opaque as foil stamping when used on paper, creating an opportunity for more subtle designs. The translucency of this finishing is more noticeable on our duplex, and triplex stocks. There is no full bleed charge for metallic ink which means that this is a more cost effective option than foil if your design goes beyond the safe print margin.
